The homestead is situated on the tranquil banks of the Murchison river, surrounded by hundreds of large river gum trees. Because of the plentiful supply of water, with permanent soaks and springs, wildlife is abundant. Large flocks of birds abound, kangaroos and emus are plentiful and feral goats are everywhere. In season, Murchison House Station provides its very own spectacular display of wildflowers, so special it was featured on "The Great Outdoors" in October 2005. The station is currently focused on producing a breeding herd of Brahman cattle and is actively trapping and mustering the feral goats for the overseas export market. It also hosts a range of tourism activities including 4wd tag-along adventures, hunting safaris, and canoeing, hiking and camping wilderness tours. Camp Kalbarri is located on the riverfront and offers school and special interest groups great facilities and a million dollar view. If you have ever enjoyed the Federation of Police and Community Youth Centre’s facilities at Camp Mornington near Bridgetown, then you’ll just love what we have to offer at Kalbarri.

Set on three acres overlooking the stunning Murchison River, Camp Kalbarri is just a short walk from the fabulous swimming beaches and just five minutes from the town centre.

Our camp consists of dormitory style accommodation with bunk beds catering for up to 64 persons. Each dormitory has its own ablution block and a separate room for supervisors. There is a large dining hall, which also serves as a meeting room or indoor activity area.

A professional catering service is available or groups can choose to self cater. Other facilities include a grassed playing field, basketball half court, volleyball court, barbecue, campfire (in season only), sporting equipment and washing machine.

Bookings require a $200 bond. Refundable within 5 working days of departure or payment of account.
