Murchison House Station

Tours and activities Kalbarri

Hours: 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week through the Kalbarri Visitors Centre.

The homestead is situated on the tranquil banks of the Murchison river, surrounded by hundreds of large river gum trees. The plentiful supply of water, with permanent soaks and springs creates an abundance of wildlife. Large flocks of birds abound, kangaroos and emus are plentiful and feral goats are everywhere.

In season, Murchison House Station provides its very own spectacular display of wildflowers, so special it was featured on "The Great Outdoors" in October 2005. The station is currently focused on producing a breeding herd of Brahman cattle and is actively trapping and mustering the feral goats for the overseas export market. A range of camping and accommodation is also available.
